CONSTANTINATO – Solid Gold Small Earrings, Diamonds

A lighter, more minimal interpretation of the Byzantine earrings design. Crafted in solid gold, this version features a single white diamond suspended beneath the coin, offering a subtle touch of movement and refined sparkle. Timeless, yet effortlessly understated, the earrings are based on an original heirloom Byzantine coin that belongs to Danai’s family for many generations and is dated in 1143-1180 A.C. The front side of each coin earring presents Emperor Manuel 1st Comnenus and the back side presents the bust of Jesus Christ. According to Greek folk tradition, the coin holds the power of an amulet and offers protection to its possessor. Wearing a piece with such history has never been so intimate.
