More than just a logo

“I was touched by Danai’s work at first glance, when I saw one of her very first rings Eros (heart shaped) five years ago. I loved the passion and the vision behind it.

The story of this handmade jewelry and the essence of the brand, is about femininity and strength at the same time. I wanted to create a logo that captures exactly this.
I was so inspired when I first wore her jewelry, that our project felt natural like the act of breathing and we worked together in a very harmonious way.

Along with the full name of the creator, we wanted to create a symbol that is 100% original and unique.

I chose the Greek letter d (δ) to work on.
– δ for Danai (Δανάη) of course
– δ for the word “skin” in Greek (δέρμα). Danai’s creations are somehow complete when they are worn and the skin is like their natural canvas.
– δ for Doric – The Doric Order, represents the standards of beauty, harmony, and strength, as the first style of Classical architecture.
– δ for the word “strength” in Greek (δύναμη)
– δ for design – The essence of the brand is all about handmade design. Each piece of jewelry is unique.

Her jewelry represent an interrelation of the classical and the modern, of the old and the new.
Moreover, Danai’s jewels bring out this magic stardust which I can’t put into words.. They combine vigor, magic and femininity. That’s the epitome of women’s life anyway! So I “sprinkled” some stardust everywhere, on the packaging, the business card and other printed material and combined it with the nude background color, the color of the human skin.

I am thankful to Danai for this amazing collaboration and the chance she gave me to be a part of her magic!
